What is rhubarb? Rhubarb is an edible stalk with a vibrant pink-red colour.
TASTE: It tastes like a combination of strawberries and blackberries with a tart, sour and sweet taste. A truly special flavour that combines really well with sweet ingredients.
SEASON: Rhubarb is an early spring vegetable, you will find it fresh at most markets or supermarkets between April and May. Of season, can be found frozen in some supermarkets.
Where can I buy rhubarb in The Netherlands?
Between April and May it is easy to find it in most supermarkets or markets in The Netherlands.
AH or Jumbo have it at the fresh fruit and vegetables area.
If you are in The Hague, you can find it at De Haagse markt, Mikros supermarket or Rutten.
