Apple and coffee jam, sweet and bitter combination to create a really special jam.
Apple and coffee?
Yes, trust me the combination is amazing.
I had this jam in Bodega Los Berrazales in Agaete, Gran Canaria. I truly loved it. It is a really special combination that pairs amazingly with some cheese.
So as soon as I came back home I started testing it to create my own version of the recipe.
What kind of apple is the best to make this jam?
You can use any kind of apple but of course apples with more flavour such as Reinette, will taste sweeter and better.
So if you can find Reinette apple, use them, the result will be amazing.
What kind of cheese?
If you are making this cheese for a cheese board, you can enjoy it with any sheep cheese, not really aged cheese. It also goes amazing with young goat cheese.
Enjoy it!
