Simple, fresh, healthy and spicy bonito tartare with avocado and mango, a recipe that for sure will impress anyone! I know we are in fall and I should do all pumpkin recipes … but I can’t say no to a good bonito tartare.

Spicy Bonito Tartare with Avocado and Mango

150 g bonito, cut into small cubes
1 avocado, cut into cubes
½ mango, cut into cubes
1/2 tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper
1 tbsp lime juice
- Sauce
2 tbsp lime juice
2 tbsp Soy sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tbsp sesame seeds
1 tbsp rice vinegar
½ tsp grated ginger
½ tsp chili flakes
Spring onions, chopped
Directions
- In a small bowl add all the sauce ingredients and mix. Set aside.
- Add bonito cubes to the bowl with the sauce, mix and cool for 25 minutes in the fridge.
- In another small bowl, toss avocado, ½ tbsp olive oil, salt, pepper and 1 tbsp lime juice.
- ASSEMBLY: On small serving bowls:
+ Add 1 tbsp of mango cubes
+ 1 tbsp avocado cubes
+ 1 tbsp marinated bonito cubes.
Garnish with spring onions or sesame seeds. Enjoy it!
