2 fresh eggs
100 ml milk (I used oat milk)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
4 slices bread
Butter
Directions
- Beat eggs in a shallow dish. Add vanilla, cinnamon, salt and milk. Whisk the mixture until well blended.
- Dip the slices of bread into the egg mixture, soaking on both sides. Around 1 minute from each side, but will depend on the bread, they need to be soft and well soaked.
- Melt a bit of butter in a large pan over medium heat. Shake off the excess egg mixture from the slices, and place them in the pan. Fry the french toast until browned from both sides.
- Serve hot with grated dark chocolate, jam, slices of fresh strawberries, mango, honey… whatever you prefer 🙂
