Lemon panna cotta

Easiest lemon panna cotta. Creamy, soft and with a delicious lemon flavour.

If you are looking for an easy winter dessert, this is the one.

Be aware that it is not a light dessert, it is mostly heavy cream so take that into account when planning your menu 🙂

Ingredients

  • 2 sheets gelatine

  • 400 ml heavy cream (35%)

  • 100 ml milk

  • 100 g sugar

  • 1 lemon zest

  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice

  • 4 metalic ramekins

Directions

  • Soak the gelatine sheets in cold water for about 10 minutes.
  • In the meantime, heat the heavy cream, sugar, milk and lemon zest in a pot over medium heat. Stir gently to dissolve the sugar. Bring into simmer and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Add the gelatine sheets and lemon juice and mix.
  • Discard the lemon zest and pour the mixture in 4 ramekins.
  • Refrigerate for at least 5 hours or overnight.
  • To serve: Place the ramekins in hot water for 10 seconds and put he molds upside down on a plate to release them.
  • Serve with some fresh fruit.
